e-discoveryData Intake
When evidence is received by Iris, each individual piece of media is identified and tagged according to the corresponding case. Once this is complete, evidence is considered “checked in” and the following information is collected and entered into our tracking database as applicable: Iris tag id, original media id, original box id, Iris project id, Iris client id, Iris box id, Iris location id, date received, date examined, name of individual whom the data was received from, original carrier name, condition of the original media, original media return address, name of the Iris credentialed examiner, and any special handling instructions. Once examined, the media is turned over for acceptance approval and analysis. Before any original media enters the lab for analysis, an evidence auditor must verify and signoff on the original examiner’s work. After release approval is given, the media then moves to the lab for analysis and data extraction. Data FilteringDe-Duplication |
